Steel etching fluid 4726

Quick acting fluid for marking cast iron, tool steel or carbon steel products. Not suitable for deep-etching, high alloy steels or hardened stainless steels.

Properties:
This etching fluid attacks the surface and the metal directly. The imprints become black immediately and can not be removed without extensive procedures. (Machining etc.)

Application:
We recommend steel etching fluid 4726 particularly for marking razor blades, knives, saw blades, machine parts and tools.

Caution:
Highly corrosive liquid! Take appropriate care when handling!

Processing instructions:
The time this steel etching fluid is allowed to act on the steel determines the degree of blackness of the imprint. After reaching the desired intensity, treat the acid on the stamp point with Neutralon to neutralize the etching effect.

Acid resistant rubber

Stamp pad material:
We recommend our special Coloris stamp pads with cotton insert. However, linen rags or an acid resistant glass or rubber insert are also suitable.

Important:
Never use metal cased stamp pads!
